Zig-Zag Nails

I was messing around today and came up with a cool and interesting look that combined some of my favorite colors and a fun element.

Here's what I came up with!

Here's what you will need:

• white nail polish ( optional, but you will get better results)
• 3 contrasting colored nail polishes ( I used pink, yellow, and orange)
• dotting tool (or you can use a tooth pick or bobby pin)
• clear nail polish (again, its optional, but your nails will look better)
• Black nail polish

Step 2

1. First paint every nail solid white, it may take two coats to cover nicely. This step is optional, but for more vibrant colors, I recommend it.  
2. Then after the white is COMPLETELY dry, pick one of your 3 colors. Using your dotting tool, color one third of the nail in a vertical stripe. Do this with all of the nails.
3. Next color the next third in one of the other two colors, using the same technique as before.
4. Now, with the remaining color fill in the rest of the nail.
5. Wait until the nails are completely dry to move one

   Step 4

   Now use the dotting tool to draw the zig-zags. For best results have the zig-zags bend at the color lines. Dont- be afraid to do more than one per nail.
7. Now , apply the clear coat, be sure the nails are dry first though
